[General] Gameplay Explanation

Allow us to explain the objective of Twelve, it's a bit different from most games and can be a little confusing at first!

Twelve a Dozen a game designed to teach arithmetic. The simplified objective is that you try to solve puzzles and help Twelve rescue her family. It's ideally aimed at ages 8+ and was designed in consultation with maths teachers.

The game will introduce the arithmetic valves gradually, starting from addition and subtraction to multiplication and division.

A level consists of several puzzles played sequentially, the output of the previous puzzle becomes the input for the next puzzle.

Each operation always involves the Twelve herself. For example, if you add “two” to Twelve, she will turn into a “14”. She will stay that way until you apply a different operation and operand to her.

You need to transform Twelve to unlock new paths. Throughout the game, you will see green panels that unlock new paths if you step on them as the matching number.

But, that’s not all. You can also unlock hidden powers in the digits. For example, a number containing a “4” can push obstacles out of the way, whereas a number with a “9” can jump higher than normal.
